"The Rose and Goat must be on your list of places to stay if you're coming to western Massachusetts"
"The Rose and Goat must be on your list of places to stay if you're coming to western Massachusetts. My 4x4 club travels to the area every fall for a weekend of trail riding in this beautiful part of the state. I really don't how I survived these trips before finding Margo and her beautiful homes. Spectacularly clean, well appointed and equipped with all the amenities you would expect at a stay at an upscale, urban hotel in a big city somewhere. Except you're in the beautiful, natural scenery of the Berkshire Mountains. A win/win for all. Margo goes above and beyond in every communication with you as you make your reservations. I feel more like a friend calling to stay at her place for the weekend as opposed to renting a home from a stranger on the internet. She's that good. Try it, you'll love it."

"Beautiful and warm, peaceful and still within a few miles of activities, spacious but cozy... this special place has stayed with me despite summer being a distant memory. We visited in late August and were greeted warmly by the owner Margo. The beautiful lodge was spotless, and the eclectic mix of vintage and contemporary decor was comfortable and pleasing. A beautiful fire, piped music, large TV, great kitchen, and a choice of rooms made our stay very pleasant. The spectacular setting and views, proximity to a state park and lake, easy drive to North Adams and other towns in the Berkshires made this the perfect place to rest from all the exciting museums, plays, and outdoor activities that kept us busy. We definitely want to go back with family and friends soon."

"Mountain Home Away From Home"
"We have now completed our 5th stay at the Rose and Goat and are looking forward to returning for our 6th stay in August! This visit was for a family reunion/get away and to celebrate my husband's birthday--9 people total. We had both the big house and the apartment and were all very comfortable and each person had quiet space to retreat to when desired. We visited 3 state parks in 3 days, used the fire pit several nights and explored the local towns on either side of the mountain for great local foods including maple syrup, fresh fish and artisan lofts with handmade pottery. Margo is a most gracious hostess and had all the comforts of home ready for us. In fact, my husband readied our summer home for my sister in a similar fashion: candles lit, soft lighting and music playing for her arrival a la Margo style :) We encourage you to run, don't walk, and book early and often for the Rose and Goat. You will leave rested and refreshed and ready to return at your very next opportunity!!!"
